Here we want to honor the resourcefulness and courage of the first generation of Rukeyser scholars, editors, and publishers, who made sure that her life and work would not be forgotten but receive the recognition it was due: Louise Kertesz, Kate Daniels, Jan Heller Levi, Jan Freeman, Anne Herzog, and Janet Kaufman. We are grateful for their significant efforts and the wealth of continuous scholarship and creative responses their work has inspired. (This is still a work in progress…)
